Our clients bought this dated home for the lovely rural property setting. We demolished the old house and saved one basement wall and began construction of their new home from there. This is a custom designed Riverbend Timberframe home. It includes state-of-the-art features like geo-thermal heating and cooling, a wood-fired supplementary heat source, and structurally insulated panels, for minimal utility costs. It has a stunning natural stone, wood burning fireplace in the lower level and the great room.
This 100 year old farm house had a terrific look, but needed major updating. We removed the old kitchen from the rear, added a new insulted concrete form basement for the addition of a new kitchen and dining area, as well as a master suite above on the second floor. We installed a completely new geo-thermal heating and cooling system and used spray foam insulation for the addition and the bottom of the entire old roof deck. Most of the interior was completely redone with new bathrooms, refinished hardwood floors, and painting. Can you see where the new entry way was added and where the additions starts and stops?
This 1950's vintage ranch and attached doctor's office was tired! Once the new design was complete we gutted the entire home, added on to the front of the kitchen, closed in the space between the two buildings with another garage stall, and went forward from there. Enhancements included spray foam insulation for all of the exterior walls and the bottom of the roof deck. One geo-thermal heating and cooling system for both buildings, all new maple hardwood floors, and new mud room and laundry room and complete renew of all spaces. We also removed a closed in stairway and added the beautiful open stairway and railing that you see. We also have brand new Marvin windows throughout the home. A dramatic and refreshing result is being thoroughly enjoyed by our clients!
This 1950's architectural gem in Ann Arbor had never been updated. Changes included: Gutting the entire inside down to the bare walls, new geo-thermal heating and cooling, all new plumbing and electrical, moved the old stairway to a new location in the new addition, which included: a master suite, future guest suite, and a media room. We raised the height of the old nearly flat roof, applied polyurethane spray foam insulation from the top and installed a completely new roof. The project also included all new windows and doors and complete refreshing of the entire inside. Exterior finishing and landscaping of this unique and challenging remodel is to be completed by homeowners.
